I apologize if this has already been discussed before. I am guilty of not investigating this prior to posting... but I noticed this channel basically mimics the functionality of an IRC channel. I hail from Team Fortress Classic and run the USA pickup community (#tfc.invite on GameSurge). Do you have an IRC channel? You could run many more games and I have a bot that is capable of doing so that's specific to catering to small/large community pickup games. If you all don't have an IRC channel yet, I suggest you get one... because it will replace this website as far as functionality is concerned outside the realm of forums. Let me know if you're interested in maintaining a channel with a pickup bot. I think it'd be a great idea to op all the server owners, which would allow for more pickups and group cohesion within the community.

IRC is dead.

The entire reason gather functionality was put on the website, was because nobody used it on IRC. The website version is also a lot easier to use for the players.

So no, shoo, go away.

Maybe the best would be to have it in both, sychronized? so people using IRC could keep using it? Or just setup a webirc client..
