Long time competitive fps player (CS/Quake/OW(if you can call it competitive)) looking to invest more time in NS2.

Bought the game 2 years ago and played periodically. However recently I've started putting a lot of hours in and I'm looking to compete again.

Mechanically my aim is as good as anyone's. However I lack the experience of other long time players. I have a basic understanding of the competitive metagame from watching some of the NS2 world championships in 2014 and tieing my other game experience and applying it to NS2. Still I lack the overall strategic knowledge to allow my strong mechanics to have maximum impact on the game.

Obviously my experience translates pretty well to Marines. As Alien I primarily play Lerk. In the early game I tend to play aggressivly before the marines have the chance to research shotguns, then I pivot to a more supportive role doing consistant ranged damage/umbra.

I'm only going to join a team with some experienced players on it.

You should readjust your skill estimation to [low/mid], if you don't have much (NS2) competitive experience.
