I'm a pub player with 0 expierence in NS2 competitive play. I usually do really well in pubs but it feels like I have hit a sort of skill ceiling of playing solo in pubs. So now I'm looking to play in a bit more competitive play. I don't really have a specialization. If anything it would be fade but it doesn't stand out that much. My marine gameplay can be considerd above average in pubs. I have no preference for a type of team or anything, if you speak english then I'm willing to join.

Try join gathers and look if Comp is the right for you.
Gathers give a good feeling of what competetive plays like and what skill is required

I'd love to but I rarely see any appearing. Is it just a matter of keeping the Gather site open and getting lucky with a full gather?
I'm pretty certain that competitive is something for me tough. I'm quite tired of pubs just being a dice roll of how good is your team and how well does it listen. About skill level, most of the times when I encouter someone from the comp scene in a pub I am on par/close to their performance.

Nonetheless, I'll try to get in one ASAP and update this post with the results and how it felt.

Rule number one: dont expect to be good when you are new in the comp scene and played mostly in pubs.

Gathers happen mostly on evenings, rather late on the day. Just sign up for it and it may fill, on some days it doesn't though. But yeah, you need a bit of time for it to happen and be patient.

Also why is Ryssk still here?

Ninjah, I know that iSay (my team) and ATV are happy to welcome in new players to the competitive scene, and would likely be a good starting point for you, if you want, you can add me on steam and we'll discuss things more in depth, but with the season being so far in at the moment, I don't think its likely you'll get to play an official match, so it would be PCWs and training until season 11 starts.

Appreciate it. I don't consider myself ready for offcial matches anyway so that's alright.
