rapid speed -> imho: Nickname placement is not perfect(bottom left corner).
Idk, when I was watching it, I also wanted to see who was killed. So had to check bottom left for fragger nickname, then mostly middle part for action stuff, and top right for frags.
But overall, nice one =) I liked it. And the graphics are cool.(the ingame graph. quality+rendering colors)
good movie... I noticed there wasn't a single clip from the sprogga era. The reason for this was that the fins were getting rolled so hard they didn't have time to get frags. 'Nuff said.
There would be much more material and I'm sure there is more that enough frags from sproggans also. Shame really, because some of my favourite frags yet again didn't see daylight.
When I first watched movie I feared that fast tempo and blur spoils the actual skill in frags, but on second time the skill were much easier to notice. Thanks Jiriki for making great movie!
Yeah so overall I like it alot, esp. since many of the finn scene are featured.
On the bad side :
- only marine kills ( fucking stackers )
- no comm skillz. I expected some footage from 2ball's recent matches or mayhbe peach's
- no nigzz ? :D
I thought the clips shown while the credits were rolling were particuarly good. It's rare to see clips from NS that are actually quite funny.
Also, I watched this video a couple more times and the pace of the frags grows on me each time. At first, I thought it was way too jerky but it gives it some replayability in a weird way.
Ronald Jenkees - Disorganized Fun, that was a great track. I'm listening to it on gaytube right now. And watching this video proves something we all knew, Fins can only play Marines! hyuk hyuk hyuk.
Thanks for the comments, let me my make some remarks:
I'm not sure what you mean by "jerky" in this context but unfortunately HLTV demos, which I used were very stuttery by nature. Firstperson demos used in Army of Wltrs etc. are much better. I don't know if its low updaterate of HLTV or what. It may be possible to fix it manually but I haven't tried that.
That Daft Punk's song was imo very good for syncing, and probably could have been synced even better than I did. It has variety, its progressive and has a very dominant bass sound. But yeah, you cannot please everyone.
In the credits, I was supposed use more fail footage from Vision's unreleased "fail" movie but damn Vision didn't deliver. :(
Another thing that buggers me is that I didn't use SFX and thirdperson as much as some other Q3, CS:S etc. have used, partly because the Vegas version I used was limited. Sure, you can make great movies with perfect sync and no SFX but properly used effects and camera movement can add lots of extra kick to the movie.
There're are about ten frags which have sync that I'm not pleased with, and handful of others that could be replaced with more impressive stuff. Maybe next fall or so I'll make a better version with Aleksi. Altho don't expect miracles, because I'm quite happy with most of the stuff in the movie.
Also maybe in next movie I will use firstperson demos from pcws (everything in IFN is from officials), because that way you'll get lots of impressive stuff and the footage is smooth. Finding stuff like killing 5-6 skulks is very rare in officials because people play safe unlike in gathers, players play at maximum risk (wait until my next short clip).
ps. Star rating system is back, use it so stuff on movies page stays in useful order.
If you redo it, i'll give you a tip; when you 'startmovie', do it with 180fps and your uncompressed clips should also be 180fps. Then in the final rendering you should use 40/60fps. That will make a very smooth movie even though HLTV can be 'laggy'.

MGMT - Electric Feel
I might redo this in the far future with 60FPS, less speed and hopefully less laggy demos.
