August EU Draft Tournament Canceled

Due to low player turn out, the August edition of the EU Draft Tournament has been canceled. Although 25 players signed up, enough for 4 teams, only half the players showed up on Saturday. If there's enough interest in pushing the dates back a week, we can resume the tournament. Please leave a comment below if that's something you'd like to see. Also leave a comment if you enjoyed the format or not and why.

Competitive Mod Open Forum

An impromptu meeting of the Competitive Mod team is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 24th at 1PM EDT / 1900 CEST. It's to discuss a revision of Iteration 3 and make a more solid version before Season 5 starts. Because this meeting was scheduled with short notice, another meeting the following Sunday, August 31st at 1PM EDT / 1900 CEST will also be held for anyone who would like to join us.

Both will be held in the NSL Teamspeak (ip: ensl.org) in the Competitive Mod channel.

Sign Ups - Nations Cup & Season 5

Just a reminder that it's not too late to sign up for the Nations Cup and Season 5. Check the previous post for more info and instructions on how to make teams and sign up for each contest. If we don't get at least 4 national teams for the Nations Cup, it will be canceled.

I don't think there's enough time for nations to organise and produce a team with the season around the door with the exception of maybe france, finland and the US.
And maybe instead of draft tournaments we can have a summer cup for teams to warmup for s5.

The first draft was nice. This one even couple people outside comp community asked me about it and they signed up. I, however. had no time to be captain and in the end i couldn't attend Saturday either. I think we might have disappointed some new souls. Not sure if we could get better attendance next week, but i'll do my best if we try again. If we actually switch to summer cup format to warmup before S5 onFire will attend. Either idea, including nothing at all is fine with me in the end. Nations cup i think you could have at least Fins, France, US and German teams. Could be nice to cast and watch.

If it happens and it's not looking like it will, the schedule will be pretty flexible. But if you're playing intercontinental matches, expect to schedule on the weekends as you normally would during the season playing against teams in different time zones.
