Easter Break
There has been some confusion with how the current system is to be run.
Clans CAN NOT schedule their matches outside the set time... any clan caught attempting this from now on will be penalized!
But as we are nice <3 we are giving you time to resolve the incorrectly scheduled games.
1. From the 16th to the 22nd (what was half-week 5 + 6) we are having an Easter break
2. From the 23rd to the 29th (what was half-week 7 + 8) we are setting as half-week 3 + 4 again.
So from this Sunday we are having a 7 day Easter break with no matches needing to play.
(If you have ALREADY scheduled a game here, you may play it, but you will be one week ahead of the league and so need to wait the next week.)
We will start the league again on the 23rd (Sunday) and this week start a 2nd attempt at half-week 3 as the season has messed up here already. Half-week 4 will then start on the Thursday after and the league will continue as normal.
Some code on the site must be changed before the games for these weeks can be scheduled correctly. So if you wish to schedule a match please ask your Division Manager to set the match manually until we say otherwise.
Staff Change
As some of you may have noticed we have changed our staff slightly.
We have taken jiriki on as an Admin to help with running the season; he has done lots of work with ns-fi in setting up the strongest clanning community in Europe at the moment and done lots of other community work for NS such as his thorough commander guide.
Stewy has taken on a Division Manager for each division.

Div 3 – Tmk (TOmekki-)
If you have any problems with scheduling please try to contact one of these people. They have the ability to set your matches if needed and it is their job to check that all games get scheduled correctly.

If there's a scheduled break I cant see why you'd have to rely on your opponant's good will to reschedule.

You raged at us in previous seasons for not having enough matches to play.
We radically changed it this season so there are lots of matches to play- but now we're raging at you because these matches aren't being played.
If you and your opposition can play your game during the break, then feel free to organise it. It's a video game competition at the end of the day- we won't admin dates with Nazi-esque precision, but things *are* getting a little out of hand.
36 matches shoud have been played by now- only 23 have been completed. (And one of those is a week 4 match).
The 3rd option was to go back to 1 match per week and keep large leagues- but this results in a season lasting several months: and we all know that it will die if the season isn't short and sweet.

It would reduce the pressure and make it actually possible to practice different tactics versus different teams, while still retaining the "PCW activity" we have now.
Playing four maps per week just doesnt work, it's too much.

For veil it's fine, since it's such a marine biased map anyway. But when you play less played map, even origin or eclipse, you really need to take the opposing teams strenghts and tendencies into consideration.
This just isnt feasible if you have to do it for four rounds per week.
We're not playing full-time professionally after all.

it was obvious from the start that the community probably wouldnt be able to stay active enough to play and practise for 2 2map matches per week.
and sherpa, it wasnt a lack of matches people really complained about (though a couple more than 5 is good), it was the fact that due to clans folding most divisions at the end of a season only had about 3 teams left, which if you think about it, makes playing the league in the first place pretty pointless.

last season knife waited 3 weeks for insane to play us, then they folded. Can't speak for any other clan but we had a pretty huge lack of matches compared to now.
When you're all done whining about this seasons set up and how you can't possibly cope with it, maybe we can move on and make some good suggestions how to improve it for next season.
And admins if you think the people posting here are the only ones with opinions and approciation? for what you do, then loller. Don't take such harsh offence just because everyone aint licking your balls for making this league happen. Things can always improve.

ben made a newer version though, where he removed them i think? we'll see how it plays out these coming weeks, i already made some suggestions for changes in powersub and hope they are taken into consideration.

Some of us (me) knew this was going to happen and clearly stated that increasing the amount of matches was a bad idea for said reasons.
"democracy sucks, i dont see why it wasnt just done CAL style in the first place, 1 match per week with larger divisions but where everyone doesnt play everyone else, then have a short playoff to even it out."
... which is what I've been saying since season 1. Glad to see someone agreeing with me though!
Regardless though, this season is fun and it's not like there are more unplayed / forfeit matches than previous seasons. Good job ensl admins, keep at it. Much <3
