American Natural Selection League
I got a message from a colleague from the states, and since we are afterall one big and happy competitive NS family, I decided to post it here it goes..
All dirty euros (even sherpa) are hereby cordially invited to participate in the American Natural Selection League. ANSL matchplay is a bit different from ENSL, but not that much. ANSL runs matches year round, with breaks only during holidays or other auspicious occasions, and there is no "Season champ" as in times past. So far there hasn't been any real negative reaction to this, so I assume everyone likes it that has been playing it. The league is divided into an Open and Veteran sections to allow teams to play others of similar experience and skill, with teams moving up and down as required. A few euros already play for teams (aA for anagram for example), but we've yet to get a full euro team in play. ANSL rules allow for a team from a different continent to use a server of their choosing for a round just like all other teams, so ping advantage is rather minimized because both teams have to suffer the disadvantage at one time or another. Title shot and Title matches require a 2-0 decision, so a team will have to win with both ping advantage and disadvantage. Normal match time is 9:00PM Eastern, but the time is not set in stone for teams currently playing, and I'm willing to make some scheduling concessions if a euro team is interested in playing but can't due to day/time issues. Interested teams/players should check out the site at www.ansl.us or check us out on IRC #ansl on GameSurge.
