Sometime ago, we talked with Zefram about couple of exploits that aren't really dealt with:
Using infestation trough wall, eg. from Hub to ET and then echoing whips. There are no rules against it. But it feels very wrong and unfair, some could say unsportsmanship-like.
Gorge tunnels in places that marines can't shoot at, but are not in vents, so not covered by no-tunnels-in-vents rule. For example in Gravity on Descent.
Both of them can turn the game around, teams know about it, they occasionally use it when pressure on them is high, even though I think they know it's not really fair. I don't want this to turn into debate who uses what. Let's keep focus on these two things if they are exploits that should be banned or is just something marines will have to deal with? If and before the rules are changed I would like official head admin's statement for the upcoming matches, if we use them in match is it officially OK?

First one is gay.
Second one is clever use of game mechanics. Marines could tech a GL and take it out.
Maybe we should all have one long hallway and just run towards each other and first team to 500 kills wins. At least then you wouldn't have to think.

You can shoot the Gtunnel in gravity, just stack your marines on the boxes and you should be able to hit it.
Unfortunately for the infestation I do not see how you could make a rule for this that would correctly cover legitimate/illegitimate use of echoing near a wall.
For the gorge tunnels, I think the current rule about vents kind of misses the point. That is, I think the rule should be that gorge tunnels should be placed only in areas that are reasonably* accessible by a single marine. This would allow tunnels in marine accessible vents, but prevent tunnels in areas like the one in Gravity.
*I say reasonably because their are areas that are technically accessible but in my opinion unreasonably difficult to reach in this context (for example jumping into the Skylights-Observation vent on Veil). How what is reasonable is decided would however be pretty difficult.

Cognito got the point, thank you. I completely agree with you on gorge tunnels. On infestation, pretty much, yeah.
Wiry, Yaluzan: I don't care about exact spots. We got some of those strategies ourselves. New maps are in pool, so many places to use. No rules should be about something as specific as one spot in one room on one map.
Wiry, so are you personally pro-gay or anti-gay? Couldn't really see your point clearly.

8 - Respect and fair-play
We want to encourage fair-play and good sportsmanship.
Anything not prohibited in these rules or the contest's rules is not necessarily allowed. Please do not try your luck exploiting a known bug that only you know about because it was not mentioned in the rules of the contest.
Just got to use a bit of common sense.

I completely agree with Loulebe. The Tunnel Gorge should be accessible...

Alien tech/buildings shouldn't be able to be placed in a room without cyst imo, that's not what was intended. Should be a rule against it, since UWE prolly won't fix that in awhile.
Gorgetunnel rule works fine, caged is also a custom map atm, changes could be made if petitioned to flaterectomy.
