Just fyi, there was a project with something like this maybe 6-9 months ago. The website part was never finished since one at the time maintaining the website didn't have the time. Also I was not too eager to learn RoR since there was supposed to be new website coming soon with all sort of shiny new features.

I guess the irc side has now died off.

yes irc is dead im still idling there all day it was such a good thing cause it even works when steamfriends is offline ect. (what happens to me quiet often latley)

the new alternative might be useing steamgroupchat what would basicly be the same without using an addinal program



but in my opinion it has its downsides compared to a website for pcw/scrim finding because:

-if you have a disconnect the chatlog is lost @steamgroup

-if you connect 1 minute after the pcw request in chat you cannot see it ofc.... (same was irc ofc)...

-even less active teams simply browse the website check skillranking and select an similar team so the chances to not get stomped are better

-lesser active teams can be clearly identifiyed from the ensl.org website when the pcw/scrim finding will be here.

-you wont ask the teams that allready have pcws so you save a lot time



there might be more reasons or some resons might be questionable but in my opinion its clearly a bennefit if we would have a website in place that can do it.

+1 for the new website. team ranking from previous/current seasons could also be used as skill.

Should've been done 1 year ago though. Hope you get something better than the way it is atm.
