Admins were banning other people, effectively having the result that the gather was NOT GOING TO GET UP.
I left a gather that - you know whats coming - was NOT GOING TO GET UP.
So I waited at least 20 minutes. I was one of the first to show up and join a team which, I guess, shows I had the intention of playing. I even told you in TS when I left that it's too late now, and I had to leave. I told you to please find a merc (since you have obviously more NS ppl on the steam list than I do).

It was way more than 10 minutes and you know that. I remember gathers were you left first because it was obviously not going up. Someone will always be the first to leave a dead gather, but I don't think any1 except me ever got a ban for this. I mean, make a rule for it, you have to wait 20 minutes and if its not up then it's ok to leave or smth. I don't care. But getting banned for this, even though I was one of the first on the server and ready to go, is just plainly ridiculous.

No. You seem to fail to recognize that I left when we were 10 (just for you: thats still TWO guys missing) and far from ready. Team one (with me in it) had 6 players ready, Team two had just 4.

I told the guys in teamspeak that it is obviously not going up and I had no time for a longer wait. I waited a minute in teamspeak before I quit. NOBODY, including the captain of my team, told me the other team was nearly complete (maybe because THEY WEREN'T) or that I should wait another minute. NOBODY. For me this was a silent agreement from my team that this gather was indeed dead. Why should I ask the other captain? The other team will always tell me they are searching for mercs and that I should wait, because it's their problem. This does not mean it could go up in 5 secs, this means it *could* go up in 30 mins, an hour, or even fucking more time. Therefore this has to be the decision of the player leaving.
AND YOU ALSO DO THIS YOURSELF THE EXACT SAME FUCKING WAY!! THINK ABOUT IT! But no, you ban one of the most punctual and dedicated players of the community, that was one of the first on the server and ready to go. LOL. Don't you see the hypocrisy? And I even got a two day ban for this shit.
As obviously the rest of the community recognizes the retardedness in this ban, just be a fucking man and admit you were wrong. Seriously what a fucking kindergarden is this?

I don't even care much about the ban (meaning the time), since I'm way to tired to play today and it's obviously too late for gathers anyway (lol), and I'm not even here for the next few days. It's the reason that makes me mad. This is a debate on principles. I'm just trying to talk some sense into some admins, because the reason for the ban is just so unbelievably retarded!
If this kind of behavior carries on, this community will end up like Able. You ban too much and you don't even ban the guys responsible. This can and certainly will be the tombstone for this small gather community. Try to think first before you react.
Are you slow or something? We were 11 (got xtal as merc, and beefi came back), thats 6 in our team and 5 in yours, since you left your team. YOU were the ONLY one missing, wich is why YOU got the ban.

When I made the decision to leave you were still missing 2 men. So if you got the two ppl 5 minutes AFTER I LEFT, well, helluvajob smartypants. But I left before that happened.
As I said, I stayed in TS for 1-2 minutes longer after I left the server, but no one bothered to tell me you got mercs. So yeah gg all my fault. And there I thought you were one of the decent admins. What a fail of judgement on my side...
Well to be honest, had you simply told me you didnt just rage out and thought a new gather was to start instead, i´d just remove the ban alltogether, its not that big of a deal.

Asidix is right that there is no standart on banning people for leaving dead (or nearly dead) gathers. Only one or two players are getting banned for that.

This community ain't seen discipline. I think most efficient (and efficient law is good law) would be to ban everybody harshly but I'm not interested in waving the banhammer anymore.
We cannot have people leaving when they want, how hard is this to understand? Beefi timed out and booted the computer, and we were waiting for you to join. You didn't show up and got banned for few days, and now you make a ragepost.
Maybe if you had more respectful tone, like "I'm sorry but I thought the gather was over and joined the next one, can you unban me?" instead you spit on admins like you don't care. Danny does this for free, acting like that is not going to get you any more motivated admins. This is exactly the behaviour you get from football hooligans to referees, they think they are right, and show no respect at all.
I thought we had a policy of not allowing (non-admins) unrelated to issue not to speak about bans. If Fana were an admin, you would all be banned!

To both you and kella: the banning policy regarding leaving has been that if a merc is found easily, no problem (like with the appelsin-guy) but if not or the gather gets cancelled, ban (like acidicx). In fact, I've banned myself about 7 times for being afk and I didn't do emoposts like this. Also the appelsin was a new guy, you on the other hand are regular and should know better.
I say.. double the ban. Not my jurisdiction, just personal opinion. There's no need encourage behaviour like above, and by unbanning, we're are. ;)
