It's Sky. But it's not the "good" one they advertise- it's some backup broadband ISP they bought out for people who aren't in their 20Mb area.
Totally regret it, looking into seeing if buying out the remanining 4 months of my contract and switiching to BT is viable. (Virgin isn't avaiable over here).
Frustrating thing- I'm typing this at 7.50am as I'm about to leave for work- it's the only chance I get to check my e-mails and Steam is downloading NS2 at 700Kb/s...
Then go to adslguide.org.uk and check which is the best available on their ISP comparison page. Generally Be/O2 are best but DO NOT GET O2 ACCESS (the non-LLU line) it is dire. If you live in the arse end of the moon probs best to go with zen or someone
Yus. I was impressed the tech support person was English not Indian (deciding if the geordie accent is easier to understand is questionable, though) but yea- she clearly didn't have much technical know-how, she was just reading off a sheet.
I kept trying to explain that 0.5KB/s max on an 8Mb line with good attenuation isn't simply a slow ISP- there's something majorly wrong but she kept repeating "it's slower during peak time".
Listen to mu, though when I was looking at Zen a few years back they were overpriced- even for their quality ISP. BT and Virgin are the class leaders overall (I think Sub had problems with his BT connection but it was more the line than the ISP?).
Aaaanyway. Starcraft 2. Awesome gameplay, the new battle.net is incredible, it's the only game where I plan on playing it through again to get achievments. I hope I can enjoy the MP- when I played a couple of games in the beta even victories felt more like work than fun.
