I used to play with a gay 17" PROVIEW (epic brand) and max res was 1280x1024 @ 60Hz ;D. My eyes bled after 5 minutes of gameplay, along with a super headache.

For NS: Samtron 98PDF or any other CRT 19zoll flat screen 100Hz
for everything else 22-24zoll tft!

Yeah not enough money to buy a LCD.
Buy a decent CRT with high hertz rate. I used to have Samsung 959NF, it was flat and good, altho it went only up to 85Hz I think (might have been 95Hz), but I reckon it still would look more responsive than any LCD today.

Is any company still making CRT-s nowadays?
My epic first monitor was 14", the surface geometry was similar to a spherical fish tank. LOL
