Hey everybody. Looking to join a team for season 11.

The majority of my NS2 experience is on public servers playing as commander. Playing commander is easy because nobody wants to do it. But it's hard because I don't understand the game and public servers are too chaotic to learn. I see this game as being fiercely competitive which intimidates me, but if I have a supportive team, I'll work hard for them. It's worth noting that this is my first time revisiting the game in several years so I'll be a little rusty at first. But I just can't bring myself to play on public servers anymore until I get real experience from organized competitive play. I'll probably start playing on gathers too.

My schedule is a little up in the air but as it stands (and possibly for the duration of season 11) I'm available for games and training Sunday-Wednesday. However, Thursday-Saturday is off limits.

My preferred position is Commander, I have a mic, and I speak clear Canadian English. However, I'm open to filling any position that is required and I'm very coach-able. If I do end up playing commander, it would be helpful to have a field commander mentoring me until I learn the game.

Turns out I am available on Thursdays as well. Though I do work night shift which will make early Sunday gathers and tournaments a slight challenge.

I've been playing on pub servers and the interface is alot more refined than it used to be which I appreciate. Also been playing commander again. I find the marine commander much easier because the alien commander is very dependent on competent gorges, which are in short supply on pub servers. Prioritizing tech tree build orders, res node captures, and assisting troops in combat are pretty rudimentary. Though I'm not great at managing specialized coordinated attacks. Nor am I great at 'anticipating' my opponent's actions.

I just have to get this off my chest. ANY time I have 1 or 2 teammates who communicate with me generously over a mic, SO helpful SO refreshing. Having a crappy commander doesn't upset me as much as a crappy commander who doesn't communicate. I feel like the developers should make microphones ESSENTIAL to playing this game. As in....if you don't have a microphone, you cannot play at all. That sounds a little harsh but having a microphone makes ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the difference.
