A few things in ns2+ where changed, fov and viewmodels. A few problems though
-some people argue that the skulk viewmodel is there to balance them not being able to see marines, but I don't really mind
-you can't see completion times on buildings, such as when you are holding e over an unbuilt node.
-you can't see the reload animation or time it.'
so with that being said, do you guys use no viewmodels? I kinda like it.
Bias towards aliens, as their champion.

I tried to disable viewmodel on the alien side in one of the gathers today and it does help quite a bit when following marines during close-up battles. I didn't try it on the marine side, but if you keep a good eye on what buttons you've pressed (placing mines for example) and what weapons you pick up so you don't confuse yourself i can see how it'll feel pretty neat there too. Having have to use sound alone to distinguish between shotgun shells fired and reloaded is the only downside i can think of.

I tried no viewmodel on alien side and it's nice and easy to get into. On marines side, it was troublesome. There are other things in ns2+ like different HUD options which can show you your ammo counts, and some stuff. I tried during warmup, but had to put the viewmodel back for game as my confusion was bigger than the advantage of seeing more space around/under me and less distraction.
Forgot to mention that Zero tried during the game and apparently reload bug can be quite annoying if you have no viewmodel. :)

I've played with out viewmodel for a lot now, and i really hate going back to "normal". It is just so much easier to hit your targets with out those models, skulking and lerking is so much easier now, and for others it "feels" easier but not sure if it's a placebo effect or really working as an improvement.
Personally i've had no problems with having the weapons invisible, other than those few times when the oh-so-awesome-gunjam-bug occurs. If anything else, it has forced me to reload more often and made my marine play much better. But again, you can get all the information you need from your ammo/energy/abilityicon, so you don't really need the viewmodels.
Only downside, and i posted this in the NS2+ post on UWE forums, is that you can't see when you're cloaked from anywhere. Not sure how much that will effect competitive plays as i don't think i'll be using much of shade hives. But still, bit awkward.
I didn't want this option in the game, but now that it is, i want to keep it.

My only dislike of the hidden marine view models is I have no idea how long my reload is taking and/or if it bugs which seems to be a common occurrence for me atleast.
